Get your rest, beautiful! While some might think it’s just a catchy phrase, beauty sleep is a real thing! A well-rested sleep is essential to waking up energized and alert. There are many benefits that come from getting enough sleep, and it turns out, there’s a reason some call it beauty sleep because it's essential for repairing the skin. Our body and our skin, are in repair mode. In other words, nighttime gives our skin the opportunity to recover from any inflammation.
By keeping well hydrated throughout the day, you’re helping your body to perform at its best. Being well hydrated will keep your energy levels up, headaches at bay and can also help with stomach issues. In the winter it’s often easy to forget about drinking water as we’re not as thirsty as in the summer, however staying hydrated will improve your skin in the winter too, making it less dry and cracked.
Another great ritual for your body is gentle yoga. A great morning flow will also start to move blood around your body, warming up your system. Setting aside some time for morning yoga or a morning routine can also make you more productive throughout the day.
